Alive After Five

The Downtown Jonesboro Association's Alive After Five Event was awesome last night.  It was super busy, but we had a blast. The beautiful Spring weather was almost perfect and lots of people came out to support the event.

We made some wonderful new friends. Christina Ballard of Ballard Farms and her lovely daughter brought farm fresh eggs to the market and demonstrated her amazing ability to spinning wool for the crowd.  She plans to have fresh produce for next month's event. So, be sure to come & see her in April.  It was nice to finally meet April Pillow, the Happy Poppers Kettle Corn vendor, that I had visited with on Facebook and I got to try that yummy popcorn.

We, also, saw lots of folks that we already knew.  James & Mandy Tinker from Black River Beads & Pottery had a booth full of some of the wonderful things found in their shop in Pocahontas.  Our neighbor, Jean Pearcy had a small gallery of artwork available for shoppers.  The lovely ladies from the 8th Wonder Beadshop, who supply some of our beads, had a booth down the street from us. And Monica Alexander of Rustic Charm was out visiting with vendors.

We, also, got to visit with Brandi Hodges from the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library about the Art on the Lawn Arts & Crafts Festival on April 12th.  The Art of Victoria Morgan will definitely be attending. Be sure to come out and visit with us at the library, too.

April and successive months through the Summer will have two Alive After Five events on the first & third Thursdays.  We look forward to seeing everyone again.  If you are looking for an evening of entertainment, abundant shopping opportunties, & loads of good food choices come to the Alive After Five Art Stroll & Market in Downtown Jonesboro, Arkansas.

We would like to especially thank the wonderful ladies organizing the event last night. They were super nice and helped make us feel welcome in Downtown Jonesboro!

GRAND OPENING OF THE REYNO CRAFT MALL

JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!

 

 

 

The Art of Victoria Morgan will be at the Reyno Craft Mall's Grand Opening in the Old School Bldg. Friday, December 13th from 9 AM to 5 PM. Thanks to Daniela McKenzie's tireless efforts to establish a haven for local artisans, you will now be able to shop for quality hand made goods produced in the USA by local crafters! In addition to jewelry, keychains, paintings, ceramics, and drawings, the craft mall will feature awesome quilts, re-purposed furniture, flower arrangements, scarves, embellished t-shirts, chef aprons, home decor, wreaths, home made soaps and candles, kitchen linens, children's clothing, purses, pillows, kitchen seasonings, and much much more!

 

AVM will have a wide selection of art for you at the Reyno Craft Mall beginning Friday. Of course, we will have our original design, hand crafted jewelry (necklaces, earrings, wire wrapped rings, and keychains) for all your Christmas gift giving needs. We will, also, have original, hand crafted, one of a kind, high fired ceramic pieces that are microwave/dishwasher safe. Victoria will have some of her oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings, pen & ink drawings, and photography available for purchase as well.

 

Victoria will be on site for custom orders on Friday. Custom orders may also be placed at the craft mall and picked for Christmas if placed before December 18th.

 

Please, come out and join us at the grand opening of the Reyno Craft Mall in Reyno, AR on Friday, December 13th. This will be a great opportunity to finish up your weather delayed Christmas shopping.

Little Bit of Christmas

Wow! Lots & lots of awesome stuff at Little Bit of Christmas this weekend in the ASU Convo.

Be sure to visit with Shalom Dunn in the Delta Pottery booth on the upper level. They have some beautiful ceramics!

Also, the fudge booth (sorry, can't remember their name) to the immediate left of the red entrance on the upper level has some of the best candy.

And the custom leather shop a few booths down on the right of the red entrance on the upper level does great work.

There are lots of very talented artists & craftsmen at the ASU Convo this weekend. Please, show your support by doing some of your Christmas shopping with them this year.

The Art of Victoria Morgan is excited to announce that we will be at the Jonesboro Downtown Association's Alive After Five Art Stroll on November 21st from 5 - 8 pm. The art stroll will be on Huntington Street between Main & Church.

There will be a variety of vendors with tons of shopping opportunities:  jewelry, paintings, furniture, ceramics, flowers, baked goods, etc. Plus, live music & activities for kids!
